A day or two ago my R&B-Soul man crush Steph Jones (I think he’s so fine y’all so fine) anyway… *ahem* He posted a video on Facebook about men who “Hate” dark skin women. This has been and possible always will be a sensitive topic in our community, I personally think it’s something we really need to move past! Steph had some really interesting things to say!
I got distracted by his smile toward the end so I really didn’t hear what he said. But there is beauty in so many skin tones, shades and complexions. We really need to let go of this slave mentality of self hate and, “If its close to white! It’s all right” nonsense. Open your mind and your heart or you might miss out on some wonderful people.
