In the battle of which foundation is best, especially if you are a person of color. This battle basically boils down to what your personal skin care needs are. In the battle of L’Oreal True Match vs. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse all depends on what you’re looking for.
Here’s the basic scoop:
L’ Oreal True Matchâ„¢
- Around $11 at your drugstore
- Oil free (for those of us with sensitive skin types)
- Has SPF 17 ( SPF is the amount of UV radiation required to cause sunburn on skin with the sunscreen on, relative to the amount required without the sunscreen. So, wearing a sunscreen with SPF 50, your skin will not burn until it has been exposed to 50 times the amount of solar energy that would normally cause it to burn.)
- Feels a little heavy but look great even in intense light
- comes in about 18 shades
Dream Matte® Mousse
- Around $8 at your drugstore
- Oil based but non-reactive (at least for my skin)
- No SPF
- Feels virtually weight less
- Looks best in natural light
- comes in about 16 shades
How it Looks:
What’s the better buy?
Like I said initially if depends on what you looking for. If you looking to save a few bucks and you don’t care about SPF or a massive variety of shades I’d go with Dream Matte Mousse®
If you don’t mind spending a few extra dollars and want a little protection from the sun and a broader selection I’d go with True Matchâ„¢
